A Sporty Affair

In celebration of the 2012 London Olympics, Opening Ceremony have teamed up with Adidas to create a very special collaboration. The result is an OC capsule collection with our favourite sportswear label Adidas, inspired by swim and cycling uniforms with a touch a 90’s streetwear thrown in for good measure. This is a true love letter to the historic world-wide games.

Dry swim spandex takes form in bike shorts, bodysuits and frilly rasher vests. Both feminine and masculine prints feature, with sweet florals, splatter paint men’s jackets and shorts, and as a final touch, Opening Ceremony’s iconic kaleidoscope pattern. The collection is brought to life in the youthful look book shot by world-renowned photographer Josh Olins.

But there is more. Opening Ceremony will open a London pop-up store on King Street, Covent Garden to coincide with the Games. OC have taken up a beautiful 3,000-square-foot space. Inside will be OC’s favourite designers; Patrik Ervell, Proenza Schouler, Chloë for Opening Ceremony, Band of Outsiders, and Norma Kamali. We'll keep you posted.
