Aveda Earth Month - Walk for Water

The Aveda Network Seeks to Raise $3.5 Million during Earth Month for Clean Water Rights

One in seven people around the world do not have access to clean water which they need to live.If the current trend continues, in less than 20 years, two-thirds of the world’s people will not have access to enough water. As part of Aveda’s 2010 Earth Month campaign, Aveda announces their second year running the global campaign WALK FOR WATER. On Sunday 18th April, they will host a series of 6k walks to raise awareness and funds for the cause. You can help by joining celebrities such as Tracey Spicer, Triple M Newsreader Sami Lukis, actress Samantha Tolj, Triple M Radio Presenter Emily-Jade O’Keefe and Jacinta Tynan in Sydney; Ten News Presenter Georgina Lewis in Brisbane and international comedian Eddie Ifft and international model Georgia Sinclair in Melbourne in the Walk for Water in the following locations. Raise money by being sponsored or getting donations from friends.

Sydney - Bondi to Bronte return

Melbourne – Ring route around Botanical Gardens & Yarra River

Brisbane - Manly to Wynnum - Moreton Bay scenic walk

Perth – Trigg Beach (Start Point: Trigg Island Café Restaurant)
