2009 shone on Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson’s beloved Australian fashion label Easton Pearson from beginning to end. First there was the release of a deluxe floor coverings collection for Designer Rugs, a natural progression for such a textiles-driven high-end clothing brand sold around the world. Then came a stunning retrospective exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art at Queensland Art Gallery highlighting their 20 years in fashion. Next up the duo celebrated the opening of their new Brisbane boutique. And just when the year couldn’t get any better they were awarded the Australian Fashion Laureate Prize for industry excellence last week. Our love and congratulations goes out to The Girls!
