LONDON STORES - Pop up retail
London’s going pop-up crazy with a series of temporary retail spaces showcasing new collaborations and concepts…
Harvey Nichols Mobile Hub
Harvey Nichol’s Fourth Floor Project takes a tour of London in a mobile ‘Hub’. In the transportable pop-up store, designed by illustrator Will Broome customers can purchase products via retail vending machines, get a temporary tattoo, watch HNTV’s Celebrity Interviews and bid for a limited-edition charity bear designed by Markus Lupfer. Visitors will receive the VIP treatment with the chance to have their photo taken in a glitter encrusted photo booth whilst all will receive a complimentary limited-edition tote bag filled with Harvey Nichols treats. The Hub will tour Hanover Square, South Bank Centre, Notting Hill and Spitalfields Market.
bStore Pop-Up at The Shop at Bluebird
Cult label bStore launch a month-long pop-up at destination boutique The Shop at Bluebird on the King’s Road. Architecture and interiors design firm Post Office have designed the minimal space inspired by ‘Spring’. Industrial fans activate upon customers entering the store creating something of a fresh spring breeze, whilst adding an interactive, experiential element.
GQ Style and Paul Smith: Pop-Up Man Up Space
The UK’s leading menswear title GQ Style has teamed up with Paul Smith in a week-long temporary space. Copies of the Spring/Summer 2010 magazine are on sale alongside special edition t-shirts by Paul Smith (who has written an essay and interview). The space will showcase behind-the-scenes footage of some of the issues fashion shoots whilst selected Paul Smith stores will feature ‘Man Up!’ store windows in Milan, Paris, Tokyo, New York and Paris.
