Limelight Marketplace, New York - Now Open

Having been the witness to many changes to its interior for years, the new Limelight Marketplace, most recently a former club and prior to that a historic church, may have found the reincarnation that will endure. The interior has been transformed, while retaining the history of the space (the stunning stained glass windows and its sweeping gothic arches) into a light filled multi level shopping and dining destination.

The maze like structure houses curious vintage jewels and trinkets from the Greenpoint Brooklyn based boutique, Old Hollywood, optical offerings from Selima Optique and luxurious sleepwear at Olatz. A number of high-end beauty offerings including Caswell Massey, Avery perfumes and Sue Devitt cosmetics.

Gelato, Jezelin’s, MarieBelle and Butterfly Bakeshop (featuring cupcakes) feels like a stroll and a peek at the mouth watering offerings in Rome, Paris and of course, New York, where the cupcake became absolutely popular. Just outside, in the courtyard is the Peak Season Green Market, looking refreshing and bountiful with a backdrop of the exterior of the beautiful old building.

It certainly is the new New York one stop shop that is bound to become the hottest retail destination.
