London Fashion Week - Street style roundup

The Brits know how to work to cold weather in style. What’s more they’re already starting to showcase some of the trends coming through on the autumn/winter 2010-11 catwalks. Think snugly shearlings, faux fur and blanket jackets in rustic colours. Masculine tailored shorts, peg leg trousers and buttoned up shirts were teamed with patterned black tights for subtle practicality. Vintage forties florals softened up the look. A Rick Owens/ Damir Doma style take on grungy, layered blacks and greys were championed by the girls and boys alike with a little leather panelling thrown in for good measure. It’s interesting to see London street style looking a little more grown up with brash colours, toyshop jewellery and gaudy prints veering off the radar, but then again, let’s wait for summer until we speak to soon!…
