London Menswear Shows

A diverse and expanding group of menswear designers were on show at London Fashion Week, some more established and others new. Scout took front row seat to get a handle on what’s new in menswear from the UK. There was certainly a diverse mix on show from sleek and modernist tailoring to more sporty and urban looks but the overriding trend Scout picked out was for a Modern Traveller and Explorer vibe in a palette of sophisticated neutrals and exotic darks with flashes of jungle greens or cobalt blue. Camouflage also makes a return but printed on unusual fabrics like lame or mesh. Preppy and cleaner looks were also evident with a nod to Nautica in navy blues, red and white with fresh, clean stripes. Shorts were key from rolled hems and Bermudas to really short and boxer length. Let’s hope the UK gets a better summer than this season so guys can wear them with tanned and toned legs...
