New Menswear Label: Eastie

East-meets-west has been littered on the menswear catwalks for a long time, championed by multi-culturists from John Galliano to Damir Doma and Raf Simons. Now, new label Eastie consolidates the concept in just the right combination of Middle Eastern nuances and trendy Western tailoring.

Its not the easiest trend to pull off, but the subtlest details and understated cuts make the pieces ultra desirable. Crisp Nehru shirts are teamed with tailored peg leg trousers, buttoned at the cuff. The ubiquitous denim shirt shakes off its fifties Americana associations with a simple leg-of-mutton sleeve swap. Waistbands are wrapped around, cummerband style whilst grey marl jogging pants resemble harems.

It’s an ultra-cool collection effusing elements British Colonial India, Middle Eastern traditional dress and just the right amount of prep-boy.
