Normann, Copenhagen

Normann in Copenhagen has scooped the accolade of 'Most Innovative Store' at the Denmark Global Innovation Awards.
The 1700 square meter space has existed as once a water distillery, a theatre, a sound studio and cinema. Its now widely acknowledged as the city's coolest design store hosting a mix of luxury fashion and cutting edge lifestyle items. Fashion-wise think Acne, Kenzo, LOFT, Noir and Peter Jensen. On the design side think B&B Italia, Moooi, TomDixon and Mater.
Every night the store's directors design a brand new window display making the shop front a constantly evolving creative vista in an attempt to 'be an ongoing source of inspiration for visitors, 24-7'. It's an ambitious undertaking to create a fresh fascade everyday but makes the store something of a living design work in itself.
The products are promoted and bolstered through exhibitions and events providing a 'platform for extraordinary design experiences', comments retail director Peter Elmegaard.
