Peroni Young Designer Awards

Last night international fashion designer Antonio Berardi flew in from London as the guest of honour to select the winner of the first Peroni Young Designer Awards with Harper’s BAZAAR editor Edwina McCann. Andrew Aloisio who designed a self chilling glass won the chance to spend time working with Antonio in his Milan studio. The beautiful event at the MCA Federation Hall created by Alex Zabotto Bentley from AZBthecreative featured a fabulous 8 metre high Christmas tree of floating Peroni bottles, staff donned Italian butchers aprons and kept the Peroni and canapés flowing. Young Australian designers were asked to submit an entry inspired by the Peroni values of high quality, style and attention to detail. Entries were received from all over Australia and ranged from fashion pieces, photography, film, paintings and creative concept designs. The five finalists were judged by Edwina and also included Vivian Tran from VIC, Luke Farquhar from QLD and Bradley McLennan and Emma Elizabeth from NSW.
