SCOUT Loves Style: SLS Hotel
When the SCOUT team fly into LA we cant wait to get to our favourite Hotel. The beautifully designed SLS in Beverly Hills. Walking up the red carpet your first impression is that this hotel is completely glamorous and on a second look totally quirky, with an impeccably fused décor of old and new, as only designer Philippe Starck can do. God really is in the details at SLS and they greet you with such a personal touch that you instantly feel welcome and engaged. This is not your typical imposing luxury hotel this is luxury, warmth and service at its best. SLS is a hotel that you must explore so you can take it all in. First stop... Straight to the incredible roof top pool deck. Here you can laze on a daybed or hire your own private cabana. The Pool deck has amazing views across Beverly hills, a dedicated pool concierge and is lined with giant, gilded framed mirrors and paintings to make it the ultimate in chic outdoor spaces. Then its off to dinner at the Bazaar. An experience not to be missed. The large ground floor lobby houses the restaurant, bar and Moss shopping experience with free standing glass vitrines housing the most exquisite objects and art. Chef Jose Andreas known for his inventive avant guard Spanish fare gives us a menu of modern tapas. Not being able to choose is the hard bit but the fantastic staff are there to guide you through an experience that has to be tasted to believed. Trying to play it cool in this crowd of LA glamour and the odd celebrity and not clap after every bite can be difficult. After a great nights sleep in the most comfortable hotel suite we will see all trip, its down to the lobby for my favourite jetlag am tea that will literally have you skipping out the door. The SLS hotel is not to be missed on a trip to LA and when it comes to the science of style you don’t have to look any further.
