Sartorial Wars

John Woo, a Hong Kong based designer and artist, has an unusual batch of models for his illustrations of men's fashion: the cast of Star Wars. Rendered in delicate gouache, Woo presents Jango Fett in Comme des Garcons, Jar Jar Binks perfectly accessorised in Maison Martin Margiela and a very suave Scout Trooper in Viktor & Rolf. Along with a brief bio of each character, the designer choices hint at their real personalities. Darth Vader is reduced to a slightly nervous junior exec in his preppy Band of Outsiders suit.
