The Pantone Hotel, Brussels
Pantone, the global standard in colour for the creative visual industries have opened up a hotel in Brussels with a design based on colour schemes used by designers and art directors. It’s the most ambitious Pantone Universe project yet, stepping up from the popular coffee mugs and tote bag merchandise. The distinctive, seven floor hotel was co-designed by Belgian architect Olivier Hannaert and interior designer Michel Penneman and is situated on Avenue Louise, in the Belgian capital’s prime design and cultural district.
There are 59 rooms and suites, utilising one of seven palettes on each floor from tranquil and aquatic to fiery and energised. Customers are invited to ‘choose a room that complements their mood through colour’. Living through colour runs throughout the hotel concept; you’ll receive Pantone Universe bathroom toiletries in co-ordinating shades or can sip on coded cocktails like the Lemon Drop 12-0736 or Daiquiri Green Pantone 12-0435. The meticulously planned colour accents are set against pristine white canvas to make those hues pop!
It’s a hotel well equipped for business with even Pantone Consultants on hand, bookable for informal appointments and seminars on colour trends and psychology.
