5 Reasons why we loved Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week has just happened and here at SCOUT we’ve chosen our favorites. Some really exciting collections were presented with surprising new concepts to shake our changing fashion scenario even more. Have a look at the 5 shows we loved:

Louis Vuitton

Presented into a 12th Century crypt at the Louvre, the show seemed like a travel in time. Inspired by frock coats from the Baroque and Rococo eras, the designer Nicholas Ghesquiere mixed super-embellished details with sportswear, inserting history into our urban world.

Chloé

The collection paid an homage to Chloe’s history, showing the bohemian feel - typical of the brand’s legacy - and exploring it in a variety of styles built through years of different creative directions. Light fluid fabrics and an earthy palette set the tone of a cool and chic french lifestyle.

Dries Van Noten

As usual, the designer goes for a very authentic, timeless and feminine line, working with the contrast of rigid shapes in suits and fluid silk dresses. The elegant colour palette has rich browns and accents of lilacs and lots of golden yellows and oranges, all tied up in tropical contemporary prints.

Balenciaga

What it’s exciting about Balenciaga’s show is to see how a classic brand incorporates the boldness of a young designer such as Demna Gvasalia. You could see the two minds there: narrow and elegant shapes wrapped up in denim and casual multi-layered looks.

Saint Laurent

For the stunning landscape of the Eiffel Tower, a stunning collection: Saint Laurent got it right. Voluminous silhouettes came in constructions in leather and feathers, made for a powerful, exuberant and edgy women, as the present demands.
