AW18/19 Winter is Heavy and our Faves from Paris FW proves it True!

This is going to be a very heavy winter if you look at Paris’ fashion shows. Layer upon layer, coats over coats, plus lots of colourful looks that looked fun and exciting.

Alexander McQueen gave us power and elegancy with his red and black show. The long-sleeve midi dress was one of the hits, showing that a strong print can take any look out of monotony. Speaking of prints, let’s learn from the master of print mixing, Dries Van Noten. Mixed patterns in rich brocade coats proves that cold winters can be just as exciting and colourful as a summer season.

Then Givenchy gave us elegance and chicness , layering tailored suits under fur coats, while Maison Margiela was all about a colourful fusion of work + sport wear. Sacai also chose to exaggerate proportions and overlays mixing work and sport, but in a new and exciting way. Watch out for the return of the big should too.

Let's get heavy!
