GAP opens in Australia

Fun for the whole family was the opening of Australia’s first Gap store at Chadstone Shopping Centre, last Thursday. Bright lights, face painting, airbrush temporary tattoos, radio presence Fox FM and of course 2 large levels of affordable fashion catering to men, women and children, created the atmosphere of the night.
The store first opened at 7am with hoards of people in and out throughout the day. After much anticipation the iconic all-American chain store had finally hit Australian waters and the response to the opening was well received by Melbourne shoppers.

The current collection had a strong American western influence with a large range of denim, denim shirts from chambray to raw, bold bright coloured polos, checked shirts, nautical stripe printed tops and chino pants. The store and product epitomised the American culture and fashion sensibility.
