Let's go with Purlac!

Recently the Colour Ultra Violet 18-3838 has been chosen by Pantone as the Colour of the Year. Beatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute affirms that the blue-based purple hue is meant to be inventive and imaginative, lighting the way for the future.

Although this tone was controversial and the market had some trouble accepting it, here at SCOUT we found the colour in lots of runway looks. We also can’t help to notice the inspiring combination of Ultra-Violet with aqua green that Valentino presented for Couture SS18. Stella McCartney also managed to get the colour in an elegant but cool look on her SS18 Collection.

Controversial or not, what really caught our attention was the lighter tones like the lilacs. Call it Purlac! Elegant and smart, this softer purple can easily fit on menswear and womenswear, both on elevated and casual looks, as you will see on Chanel Couture SS18, Kenzo AW18, Ann Demeulemeester AW18 and The Row SS18.
