SCOUT's SS17 Trend Confirmations for Menswear

We’re back at it again to confirm our predicted SS17 menswear trends. This season, there have been numerous key trends from our SCOUT Men SS17 book replicated on the runways.

IN TRANSIT was based on a monochromatic colour palette and was inspired by technology, functionality and travel-wear. Smart-tailoring and clean lines can be seen in Cadet, Bespoken, John Elliott, Tim Coppens and Rag & Bone.

Our slightly more casual trend, BEYOND INDIGO was inspired by authentic craftsmanship and the value placed on slow living. This trend translated into earthy tones and loose, unstructured silhouettes as seen in the collections by J. Crew, Simon Miller, N. Hoolywood and Balmain.

An updated, fresh look on nautical wear was predicted in our MAKING WAVES trend. Simple prints, hues of sea-blue and relaxed details were seen in Michael Kors, J. Crew, John Elliott and Sibling.
