SCOUT's faves from Milan Fashion Week

At Milan fashion week we were wowed by the following collections and looks:

Fendi discussed women’s dress code in consonance with what has been debated in all fashion weeks. The collection showed strong silhouettes marked by power shoulders but permeated by soft materials, dedicated embroideries and plissé details. As pretty and as tough as a women needs to be these days.

Prada’s collection also versed about women’s struggles on how to be strong and feminine at the same time, which can be translated to rigid and tough materials balanced by vivid colours, prints and also delicated transparent materials.

For Jil Sander, comfort was top of mind for the collection, that looked quite futuristic in a warm positive way, with aspects of human touch on the tactile soft fabrics. Very exciting was the replacement of the usual high-tech aesthetics for something more familiar and homely as an idea of future.

Alessandro Michele has brought out the surreal for Gucci. The famous look with the girl holding her head instigates the idea that people can be whatever they want today, doesn’t matter if it’s through plastic surgery or through fashion.
