The 501® Jean: Stories of an Original Levi's®

To mark Levi’s 140th birthday as well as the 100th anniversary of Levi's affiliation with denim factory Cone Mills, Levi’s has released a historical three part documentary staring the original jean; Levi’s 501

The three-part documentary is sequentially titled Work, Style and Rebellion and takes us through the people, places and happenings that inspired the creation of the jean as well as Levis 501’s influence on different aspects of popular culture since its creation in 1873.

For any denim brand and denim aficionados this is great inspiration and research material. Here at SCOUT we know how important the history of denim is to the casual market; in our just released CASUAL Unisex Colour + Trend book, a number of our trends feature and celebrate this authentic cloth and it's diverse treatments and finishes for AW17/18
